Boiler replacement and installation in Edinburgh

Gas Safe registered engineers fitting combi, system and conventional boilers across Edinburgh and Midlothian, with pricing you can understand and no hidden fees.

Signs your boiler is ready to be replaced

None of these on its own means you need a new boiler. Two or three together usually means repairs are no longer the cheaper option.

It keeps breaking down
Repeated repair bills on an ageing boiler often add up to more over a couple of years than replacing it would have cost.
Your gas bills keep climbing
Older boilers send more heat straight out of the flue. A modern condensing boiler recovers heat that would otherwise be wasted.
Rooms heat slowly or unevenly
Radiators that take an age to warm up, or never get hot at the top, usually point to a boiler or system that is no longer up to the job.
Parts are getting hard to find
Once a model is out of production, a small fault can leave the heating off for days while a part is tracked down.

Choosing the right boiler for your home

The right boiler depends on how many bathrooms you have, how much hot water you use at once and how the existing system is laid out. We work that out with you rather than fitting the same unit in every house.

Combi boiler
Heats water on demand with no cylinder and no tanks in the loft, so it frees up space. Suits homes where one bathroom is in use at a time.
System boiler
Works with a hot water cylinder so several outlets can run at once. Suits busier households with more than one bathroom or en suite.
Conventional boiler
Uses a cylinder along with tanks in the loft. Often the simplest route when you are keeping the layout of an older system.

What installation day looks like

We will have told you what to expect before we arrive, so there are no surprises on the day.

  1. We protect the work area

Dust sheets down and floors covered before anything comes off the wall.

  2. The old boiler comes out

Drained, disconnected and taken away, so you are not left with it in the garden.

  3. The new one goes in

Fitted and commissioned, the system cleaned where it needs it, and the controls set up.

  4. We show you how it works

We run through the controls with you and leave the paperwork before we go.
